Updated 3/25/20:

Dear Patients,

Your overall health and wellness have always been our highest priority. After evaluating the most current information and reviewing all published guidelines, we are modifying our schedule and reducing direct contact with our patients.

As of March 25th, we will not have in-office visits. We are monitoring this on a weekly basis so when this changes, we will notify you.

However, we now have the option to schedule TELEHEALTH visits with Dr. Vrooman. Telehealth appointments utilize video conferencing via your smartphone, tablet or your computer with webcam. These appointments can be scheduled for routine follow-ups, hearing aid troubleshooting and hearing aid consultations. Please contact our office if you are interested in scheduling a telehealth visit or converting an existing appointment to telehealth.

We will allow for scheduled hearing aid repair on emergency basis using a drop-off system.

If you have hearing devices that need to be seen or fixed by Dr. Vrooman, call the office at (919) 570-8311.

1.       You will be given a time to bring the hearing devices.

2.       You will be instructed to drop the devices off at the box outside our door, fill out a sheet with your name, phone number and reason for bringing them in.

3.       You will be asked to go back to your car and wait 5-10 minutes.

4.       You then will receive a call to let you know the outcome of the cleaning/repair.

If you need supplies, please follow the same process as above. We can accept your payments over phone and can put the supplies in the dropbox when you arrive.

Due to the average age of our patient population, we feel as though it would be irresponsible for us to freely keep our doors open at this time. We are closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization and the American Academy of Audiology and will continue to seek guidance from these agencies and local public health officials. As soon as we are able to resume in-person appointments we will let you know.

Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in the care you receive at Wake Audiology & Hearing Aid Associates. If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call us at (919) 570-8311.

We are here to help you hear life.

Be Well,
Dr. Samantha Vrooman, Sandy and Caro
