Samantha Vrooman, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Samantha Vrooman earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. She was a clinical audiologist in private practice for 4 years before acquiring Wake Audiology in 2019. Dr. Vrooman is board certified by the American Board of Audiology and is licensed by the State of North Carolina. She loves getting to know her patients on a personal level and commits to making a difference in their lives by reconnecting them to their families through better hearing.
Dr. Vrooman’s passion for the field of audiology and her commitment to giving back to others is demonstrated through her volunteer work: serving as part of a team that fit over 1,500 people with hearing devices in Toluca, Mexico, on a mission trip. In her spare time, she enjoys running, traveling, playing board games, and spending time with family and friends.
Jessica Silvani, Au.D., CCC-A
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Jessica Silvani earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of South Florida. She completed her 4th year externship at Carolina Ear and Hearing Clinic in Raleigh. Dr. Silvani is board certified by the American Board of Audiology, holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), and is licensed in audiology by the state of North Carolina. She loves working with and getting to know her patients in order to develop a treatment plan that works well for their specific lifestyle and needs in order to improve their hearing and overall quality of life. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, exploring the Triangle area, and catching up on her favorite TV shows.
Patient Care Coordinator
Ginny Lillie is delighted to be a member of the Wake Audiology Team and joined in June 2020 as the Patient Care Coordinator. Having grown up with a hearing-impaired family member, Ginny tries to make our patients feel welcome and well-heard.
Ginny grew up in Northern Michigan and moved to North Carolina in 2015. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children camping, canoeing, biking, and any outdoor activity. She loves to read, laugh, and sing at her church. Sharing joy with others is Ginny’s daily goal and she knows that smiles are contagious.
Julie Walsh joined the Wake Audiology team in December 2021 as a patient care coordinator. Her previous work experience as a teacher taught her invaluable communication skills that make her an asset to our practice.
Julie grew up in Columbus, Ohio and moved to North Carolina in 1993. She enjoys spending time with her three grown children and a beautiful granddaughter. She loves to travel, read, and be anywhere outdoors, especially the beach.
Rachel joined the Wake Audiology team in March, 2022, after moving from Long Island, New York. As an audiology assistant, she works closely with Dr. Vrooman and Dr. Silvani in multiple areas including hearing aid repairs and cleaning, patient scheduling, and marketing. She enjoys working with patients and their families to help improve their quality of life through hearing.
Rachel's previous work experience was an administrative and medical assistant for a small medical practice. She enjoys traveling, exploring new places, spending time with her husband, family, and friends, outdoor activities, and is a huge animal lover.
